In my works, just like for vernacular crafts, ornaments are a means to convey a summation of tradition, religious influences, and cultural heritage. A primal instinct such as communication, a grammar understandable to all in a non-elitist manner.

However, I tend to abstain from using majestic decorations that can drag art towards mere academicism and I seek to make them less executed to direct taste towards beauty in an accessible way, so that our attention to the senses never dominates the tension towards the intangible.
